A Screen is an endpoint for you to push messages to. This is 99% of the time a TV, but it can also be a Virtual Screen, which we'll discuss later.
The actual physical makeup of a Screen is a TV that has a media player behind it, running the Scholastic Network app. Here is a real example:
Behind every Screen is a media player, running the Scholastic Network app.
This media player runs Android 5.1.1 as it's operating system, and connects to the internet over Wi-Fi or via Ethernet.
Inside of your Screens portal, you will see all the Screens inside of your network.
Every Screen is conventionally named by location. For example, the "Auditorium" Screen is a TV inside of the Auditorium. This TV's media player is linked to the Screen inside of your Screens portal.
The Screens inside of your portal is what you will be uploading and assigning content to. We will go much more in depth in a future module, but first, it's important you understand what a Screen is before continuing.
